West India Dock

One of my briefs in the summer of 2010 was to produce a set of new images of London. This gave me the opportunity to re-photograph some of the changes to the city, since I used to (briefly) live in North London after photographic college in the mid 1970s;  and also to reshoot some classic London landmarks.

Millenium Bridge and St. Paul’s

Images on this page concentrate on the new builds rather than the many classic city landmarks that are widely seen elsewhere.

Modern inclusive public transport, the DLR is great!

The Lloyd’s Tower

Although I love to photograph traditional architecture, I also love to take images of new buildings in glass, steel and aluminium, as well as the creative refurbishments of classic gems such as Leadenhall Market. Embracing the new as well as conserving and valuing the traditional is healthy and progressive.

A gem put to good use, Leadenhall Market.

St. Catherine’s Dock

A central London mooring to dream of on the Regent’s Canal

We have to “move with the times” or become an anachronism  to embarrass our children!
