During every one of my visits to India, I have taken street portraits of interesting passers-by.
I am always impressed by the openness of these people and their willingness to pose for a picture by a complete stranger. From a child’s smiling innocence to the presence of true spiritual knowledge, from sheer beauty to grounded self possession and infinite maturity, these are some of my favourite images.
I thank all of my “sitters” sincerely.
The early pictures are taken on various film cameras on transparency stock then scanned, the latest on digital equipment.
I call the series “Faces of India” and have an exhibition set of prints using archival inksets and paper.
